FINE ART ARCHITECTURAL & DESTINATION PHOTOGRAPHY

The Seef, a residential development in Lusail. A standard brief. A commercial project of the kind delivered across the Gulf thousands of times. Documented, filed, forgotten.

SARAB's approach was different. The project, commissioned by Qatari Diar, Qatar’s biggest developer, was not treated as a property to photograph but as a subject to interpret. By telling the stories on the walkways, promenade, and with the stunning views. The result was a body of work that could have been hung in a gallery before it appeared in a brochure.

This is what separates commercial photography from SARAB’s fine art production: the willingness to apply the same rigor to a residential tower in Lusail as to a museum artwork. The brief was commercial. The work was not.
